In November, Vincent Gajewski III and Christopher Gajewski, two members of the 3Love Inc. team based in the United States, were in Lima, Peru and had the opportunity to share unforgettable moments with the visually impaired children of the C.E.B.E. “San Francisco de Asís” and also with the mothers of the “Yesenia Saenz” Soup Kitchen, located in Huaycán.

At the C.E.B.E. “San Francisco de Asís”, Vincent and Christopher donated a refrigerator for the “Juan Diego S. Martínez” kitchen workshop, which will be used to preserve the products made there. They also visited all the classrooms and were able to meet the students. Their visit ended with a musical performance by the school choir.

It is worth mentioning that the “Juan Diego S. Martínez” cooking workshop is named in memory of Juan Diego, who studied at this C.E.B.E. In his passage through this world, he left an example of life and strength that inspired all those who had the joy of knowing him.

At the “Yesenia Saenz” Soup Kitchen of Huaycán, the members of 3Love Inc. went to meet the mothers and were also able to introduce them to Nancy Jo, who will be teaching a pastry workshop there. The week following their visit, they made the quotation and purchase of the kitchen utensils for the workshop, which began to operate on Saturday, December 10.

During their visit to the “San Francisco de Asís” school, we talked to Vincent and Christopher about the experience of meeting the children who study there. We share their statements below.

Vincent Gajewski III, President of 3Love Inc:

“We are going to all the classes with the children, taking pictures, talking with them and singing with them. I feel that these children have a chance to have a better future. They are happy, they are lovely, living and giving love to everyone. The teachers are excellent, they take good care of them. In the future, I wish that hopefully we can help them more, but not only this school, we also want to help many more schools and hopefully we can give these children the best that this life can offer them”.

Christopher Gajewski, Treasurer of 3Love Inc:

“I think going to all these classes made me realize just how amazing and how happy everyone is here and I think it´s really hard just to see that in the world. And just being able to have an opportunity to give something to them, just seeing how gracious they are for just us being here, being able to see them is a really fortunate thing to see. And I believe that my heart goes out to them and to Juan Diego as well.

I think that we want to help them more and just like Vincent said, we want to help more people in the future and not only this school. It would be a really great thing to be able to help as many people as we can, so we have to start small. This was something that my mom started, she created a vision and hopefully we can carry that vision and reach more people in the future”.

In addition, we virtually interviewed Liza Comeford, Vice President of 3Love Inc, who sent us a few words about the work the organization has been doing for the benefit of children with disabilities.

“I would say that the nicest thing is the progress seen in every activity since we started. The videos and photos of the activities we do with the children with special abilities are of great spiritual, social and personal benefit for all of us involved.

I think Juan Diego was very important for what 3Love means. My cousin is one of our pillars, he is our little angel. He taught us to understand the needs of children with disabilities and brought us closer to the support we provide today through 3Love's projects.

The work we are doing in 3Love would be impossible without the help of each one of the members of the great 3Love family”.

En el mes de noviembre, Vincent Gajewski III y Christopher Gajewski, dos integrantes del equipo de 3Love Inc. que radican en Estados Unidos, estuvieron en Lima, Perú y tuvieron la oportunidad de compartir momentos inolvidables junto a los niños con discapacidad visual del C.E.B.E. “San Francisco de Asís” y también junto a las madres de familia de la Olla Común “Yesenia Saenz”, ubicada en la localidad de Huaycán.

En el C.E.B.E. “San Francisco de Asís”, Vincent y Christopher hicieron entrega de una refrigeradora para el taller de cocina “Juan Diego S. Martínez”, el cual les servirá para conservar los productos elaborados allí. También visitaron todas las aulas y pudieron conocer a los estudiantes. Su visita terminó con una presentación musical a cargo del coro de la escuela.

Cabe resaltar que el taller de cocina “Juan Diego S. Martínez” lleva ese nombre en recuerdo de Juan Diego, quien estudió en este C.E.B.E. En su paso por este mundo, él dejó un ejemplo de vida y fortaleza que inspiró a todos aquellos que tuvieron la dicha de conocerlo.

En la Olla Común “Yesenia Saenz” de Huaycán, los integrantes de 3Love Inc. fueron a conocer a las madres de familia y también pudieron presentarles a Nancy Jo, la profesora que dictará un taller de repostería allí. La semana siguiente a su visita se realizó la cotización y compra de los utensilios de cocina para el taller, el cual empezó a funcionar el sábado 10 de diciembre.

Durante su visita al colegio “San Francisco de Asís”, pudimos conversar con Vincent y Christopher sobre la experiencia de conocer a los niños y niñas que estudian allí. Compartimos sus declaraciones a continuación.

Vincent Gajewski III, Presidente de 3Love Inc:

“Estamos yendo a todas las clases con los niños, tomando fotos, hablando con ellos y cantando con ellos. Siento que estos niños y niñas tienen la posibilidad de tener un mejor futuro. Ellos son felices, ellos son encantadores, viviendo y dando cariño a todos. Las profesoras son excelentes, ellas los cuidan muy bien. En el futuro, yo deseo que ojalá podamos ayudarlos más, pero no solo a esta escuela, también queremos ayudar a muchas escuelas más y ojalá que podamos darles a estos niños y niñas lo mejor que esta vida puede ofrecerles”.

Christopher Gajewski, Tesorero de 3Love Inc:

“Ir a todas estas clases me hizo darme cuenta de lo increíble y feliz que es todo el mundo aquí, y creo que es realmente difícil ver eso en el mundo. Y poder tener la oportunidad de darles algo, ver lo agradecidos que están de que nosotros estemos aquí, poder ver eso es realmente una fortuna. Yo siento que mi corazón está con ellos y con Juan Diego también.

En el futuro, queremos ayudarlos más y, como dijo Vincent, queremos ayudar a más gente y no sólo a esta escuela. Sería estupendo poder ayudar a tanta gente como pudiéramos, así que tenemos que empezar poco a poco. Esto fue algo que mi madre empezó, ella creó una visión y espero que podamos llevar esa visión y llegar a más gente en el futuro”.

Asimismo, entrevistamos virtualmente a Liza Comeford, Vice Presidenta de 3Love Inc, quien nos envió unas palabras sobre el trabajo que viene realizando la organización en beneficio de los niños con discapacidad.

“Diría que lo más lindo es el progreso visto en cada actividad desde que comenzamos. Los videos y fotos de las actividades que hacemos junto a los niños con habilidades especiales son de muy grato beneficio espiritual, social y personal para todos los que estamos involucrados.

Creo que Juan Diego fue muy importante para lo que significa 3Love. Mi primo es uno de nuestros pilares, es nuestro angelito. Él nos enseñó a comprender las necesidades de los niños con discapacidad y nos acercó al apoyo que hoy realizamos mediante los proyectos de 3Love.

El trabajo que estamos haciendo en 3Love sería imposible sin la ayuda de cada uno de los que integran esta gran familia”.
